It has been found that people in Scotland who are looking to relinquish control of their financial arrangements, and give them to someone they trust to take care of, are being faced with a wait of three months to register power of attorney.

The latest UK Residential Market Survey from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has revealed that housing market activity in Scotland was generally flat in February, as a shortage of properties becoming available for sale continued to result in an increasing number of potential new buyers being thwarted. 

New research by Canada Life has found that as many as one in 25 people in the UK have inheritance expectations amounting to at least £1 million. For one in 50 people, these expectations exceed £5 million.
